Before I reach out, I do the homework.

I look at:

→ The platform they're using
→ Their existing tech stack
→ Business signals that indicate real operational problems
→ Where repetitive work could be automated

Because AI automation shouldn't start with:

*"What can we sell them?"*

It should start with:

**"What problem are they actually dealing with?"**

I'd rather research 20 stores properly than send the same AI pitch to 500 businesses.

Before I pitch any ecommerce brand, I run through this checklist first — not a template, not a copy-paste script.

Most agencies send the same AI pitch to hundreds of businesses at once. I'd rather spend the time researching 20 stores properly than blast 500 with something generic that doesn't actually fit their business.

My process:
1️⃣ Check what platform the store runs on (Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom)
2️⃣ See what tools are already in place — support, marketing, automation
3️⃣ Look for real signals of a problem worth solving (repetitive support, manual processes, bottlenecks)
4️⃣ Identify exactly where automation could save time and money

If there's no real problem to solve, there's no pitch worth sending.

Most customer support questions don't need a human—they need the right information.

In this demo, I built a RAG-powered AI support agent for Shopify stores using n8n.

Instead of making up answers, the AI searches the store's own knowledge base to provide accurate responses about shipping, refunds, returns, exchange policies, and other FAQs.

I think the term **"AI chatbot"** is becoming one of the most misunderstood words in ecommerce.

Most businesses believe they've adopted AI, but in reality they've only installed a chatbot that follows scripted replies.

A real AI agent is different.

It can understand customer intent, remember previous messages, retrieve information from your knowledge base, and even take actions like checking an order or processing a cancellation.

That's the difference between answering questions and actually solving customer problems.

While building my Shopify AI support agent, I've learned that businesses don't necessarily need more support staff—they often need better systems.
