Is your phone always listening... or just waiting?
One of the most common questions in cybersecurity is:
"If my phone is always listening for 'Hey Siri' or 'Hey Google', why isn't it recording everything?"
The answer lies in on-device AI. Modern smartphones continuously listen only for a specific wake word using a dedicated low-power processor. Until that wake phrase is detected, your conversations generally remain on your device and are not transmitted for voice assistant processing.
