While ASUS is preparing to release the RTX 4060 Ti graphics card with 16GB VRAM, the pricing details have raised concerns. The RTX 4060 Ti 16GB variant will be $100 more expensive than the 8GB version, with ASUS's ROG STRIX models historically having high prices. The current price for the 8GB model is already considered unreasonable at $489. If accurate, the 16GB model's price could reach $600, making it even more unaffordable. Board partners are worried about the challenging sales prospects due to the high price, and it remains to be seen how the market will respond.
It has been reported that the ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 4060 Ti 16GB variant will be priced at 4699 RMB, just 100 RMB lower than the RTX 4070 Founders Edition, which retails for 4799 RMB. However, it's important to note that this suggested retail price no longer applies to AIB custom models. Currently, the RTX 4070 can be found for 4400 RMB, making ASUS's 16GB model even more expensive.
