🔥 EASA PROPOSES NEW UAS SECURITY RULES 🇪🇺🚁

EASA has proposed changes that could lower the mandatory operator registration and Direct Remote Identification threshold in the OPEN category from 250 g to 100 g.

The proposal also includes operator identity verification before registration and changes to UAS geographical-zone rules.

⚠️ Important Clarification: This is EASA Opinion No. 06/2026 — a proposal, not a final EU rule yet. The document is currently listed as Pending by EASA.
