On 23rd March 1940 All-India Muslim League resolved to demand an independent state for Muslims, casting in stone, Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbalโ€™s vision, for an independent Muslim Nation, expressed in Allahabad on 30th Dec 1930. Nine years later, two years after Allama passed away Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, in a two-hour speech in English, in front of a gathering of 100,000 people in Minto Park Lahore, concluded โ€œMuslims must have an Independent Stateโ€ a resolution resoundingly adopted. With the joined efforts of thousands of Muslim League workers and leadersโ€ฆ seventeen years later Pakistan came into being on 14th Aug 1947.
