Some days are planned on a calendar. Some days become memories.

Our first-ever Figma Make-a-thon in Lahore was definitely the second kind.

What started as an idea to bring people together to actually make something turned into a full day of designers, developers, students, creatives, and industry professionals brainstorming, experimenting, building, breaking things, fixing them… and somehow presenting working ideas by the end of the day. 😅

Hosted by Muhammad Ali Tariq, Community Leader at Friends of Figma Lahore, the Make-a-thon was all about getting people out of the usual “talk about ideas” mode and into “let’s actually build this” mode.

We had participants join us not just from Lahore, but from nearby cities too, which made the whole experience even more special. It was a reminder that there’s a real appetite for spaces where people can learn, meet new people, get their hands dirty, and build something together.

From the Figma Make demo kicking things off, to teams diving into their challenges, to mentors jumping between tables and helping turn half-formed ideas into actual prototypes, there was a lot happening.

And a big shoutout to Daftarkhwan for hosting us and being such a great venue partner. The space gave everyone room to think, collaborate, build, and occasionally stare at their screens wondering why the prototype wasn't working.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who showed up and made the day what it was, our participants, volunteers, community team, and everyone working behind the scenes.

Events like this don't happen because of one person. They happen because a bunch of people care enough to show up, contribute, and believe that something good can come out of bringing the community together.

This wasn't just about Figma Make.

It was about people meeting people, ideas meeting ex*****on, and a community coming together to create.

And now, watching these moments back in one video, it feels pretty special to see just how much happened in one day.

It was never goodbye.

Today, we're proud to introduce the new face of Friends of Figma Lahore.

A new logo. A new visual identity. The same community-driven mission we've believed in since 2019.

This rebrand reflects who we've become, a community of thousands of designers, developers, and creative professionals learning, sharing, and growing together.

This is what happens when Pakistan's design community comes together.

From hosting Pakistan's biggest Config Watch Party to welcoming 350+ attendees, Friends of Figma Lahore turned Config 2026 into more than just an event, it became a celebration of creativity, innovation, and community.
