HOW TO ENTER BIOS / UEFI
βοΈ How to Enter BIOS / UEFI & Set It Correctly for Windows Installation
Struggling to install Windows or your USB isnβt showing up?
The problem is often incorrect BIOS / UEFI settings.

Enable UEFI Mode

Turn Secure Boot & TPM ON
β
Set AHCI for storage
β
Disable Fast Boot temporarily
β
Set USB as first boot device
These settings are mandatory for Windows 11 and highly recommended for Windows 10.
Restart your PC and repeatedly press:
DEL or F2 β most desktops & laptops
F10 / ESC β HP
F1 β Lenovo
F12 β Boot menu only
Essential BIOS Settings (Windows Install)
1. Boot Mode
Boot Mode / BIOS Mode β UEFI
CSM / Legacy Boot β Disabled
π Required for Windows 11, recommended for Windows 10
2. Secure Boot
Secure Boot β Enabled
Secure Boot Mode β Standard / Windows UEFI Mode
If grayed out:
Set OS Type β Windows UEFI
3. TPM (Trusted Platform Module)
Intel systems:
Intel PTT β Enabled
AMD systems:
fTPM β Enabled
π Required for Windows 11
4. SATA / Storage Mode
SATA Mode β AHCI
Disable Intel RST / RAID (unless you use RAID)
β οΈ RAID can hide drives during installation
5. Boot Priority
Set USB as first boot device
OR
Use Boot Menu (F12) and manually select USB
6. Fast Boot
Fast Boot β Disabled (temporarily) Helps detect USB during install

Integrated Graphics β Enabled (optional)
Virtualization (Optional)
Intel β VT-x
AMD β SVM Enable if you plan to use virtual machines
CPU & Power
CPU Features β Default
XMP / EXPO β Optional (can enable later)
Save & Exit
Press F10
Choose Save Changes and Exit
