Cebu Opens, Manila Closes Memorable GSP Sportsfest Season

Vibrant colors and high energy filled the Magnum Sports Complex in Cebu City as Arch Global Services Philippines in Cebu kicked off its 2026 Sportsfest. Senior Corporate Travel and Events Coordinator Lala Anis hosted the event. Cyrus Plando, Senior Facilities and Business Resiliency Manager, delivered the opening remarks.

After two months of action-packed basketball, volleyball, pickleball and bowling competitions, Arch Global Services Philippines in Manila officially concluded its 2026 Sportsfest season with an awards ceremony.

On July 26, the FCL Sports Center in Quezon City was filled with excitement as season champions and top performers were honored during the event led by Lala Anis.

Country Manager AB Santiago attended the event, delivering the opening remarks and presenting trophies to the winners.

Eddieson “Enzo” Neri of Team Red Lakas said he felt honored and humbled to be named the volleyball MVP for the 2026 season.

“Winning this award is a direct reflection of our team’s relentless hard work, cooperation and support just to make every game a happy place,” said Enzo, who shares his recognition with his teammates.

“Every perfect pass, crucial block and loud cheer from the bench made this achievement possible,” he added. “This season was unforgettable, and I am so proud of what we accomplished together.”

A Paw-some Day with Rescues

The three-day volunteer event was organized by Arch Global Services Philippines's Employee Engagement team in partnership with Ampon Alaga, the rescue and adoption program of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Asia’s animal welfare program in the Philippines.

“You could really see how excited and happy the dogs were as they met their assigned volunteers,” said Kharla “Lala” Anis, Senior Corporate Travel and Events Coordinator.

Volunteers then took the dogs on a walk through Poblacion, Makati City, before stopping at a pet park in Rockwell for food, water, treats and, of course, playtime.

For dog lover and new employee Marc Delos Santos, the event was an easy choice for his first volunteer activity.

“My favorite part was walking and playing with the dogs,” he said, “and seeing some of them find loving homes through the Ampon Alaga program.”

Despite the early call time, Marc and two of his teammates arrived eager to spend the morning with the rescues.

“It was a fun and rewarding experience, and I hope to join more volunteer activities in the future,” he said.

GSP Cebu Completes APE and Flu Vaccinations

Global Services Philippines (GSP) continues its wellness initiatives through the annual physical exam (APE) and flu vaccination. On Aug. 14, 130 Cebu employees reported onsite to complete their APE, while a total of 101 employees received their flu vaccination. This comes a month after GSP Manila held its APE, helping employees spot potential health concerns early, support compliance with Philippine labor and occupational health requirements and confirm employees are fit to perform their roles.

“Promoting employee health and wellness remains one of our priorities,” said Angelica Felix, Compensation and Benefits Manager. “Our APE and flu vaccination reinforce our commitment to a healthier workplace.”

Employee Spotlight: New AINS and CPCU Designees

July was a landmark month for Arch Global Services Philippines as four employees earned their associate in insurance (AINS) and chartered property casualty underwriter (CPCU) designations.

- Jonvert Cruz, Underwriting Service Specialist, earned his AINS designation on July 21.
- Fevee Aruta, Business Systems Analyst, earned her AINS designation on July 26.
- Angelo Bongor, Team Lead and Senior Claims Analyst, earned his AINS designation on July 30, adding to the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation he earned back in July 2025.
- Clive Martin Chan, Team Lead and Senior Data Scientist, recently earned his CPCU designation on July 28.

“These accomplishments not only showcase the employees’ hard work and dedication but also highlight Arch's support and the opportunities available for employees to pursue industry-recognized certifications,” said JM Ceralde, Senior Learning and Development Training Specialist.

The AINS designation is a globally recognized professional credential that provides a strong foundation in insurance principles, risk management and customer-focused insurance solutions. The program equips professionals with a deeper understanding of the insurance industry, including policy coverage, underwriting fundamentals, claims management and ethical business practices.

Earning the AINS designation demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and professional excellence while enhancing an individual’s ability to serve clients and contribute to organizational success.

The CPCU designation is one of the most prestigious and comprehensive professional credentials in the property and casualty insurance industry. It recognizes advanced knowledge of insurance, risk management, business and ethics, and reflects a strong commitment to professional excellence and lifelong learning.

From Classroom to Career

Global Services Philippines (GSP) is proud to announce six interns have officially joined the organization as full-time employees.

Their successful transition reflects not only their talent, dedication and hard work, but also the strength of GSP’s internship program in building the next generation of professionals.

Please join us in welcoming our newest team members:

- Phoemela Rein Ison from Actuarial Analyst Intern to Junior Actuarial Assistant
- John Christian Paglinawan from DevOps Engineer Intern to Systems Engineer I
- Rizeth Marianne Marcelo from DevOps Engineer Intern to Systems Engineer I
- Marc Olata from Data Science Intern to Junior Data Scientist
- Russel Ron dela Cruz from Data Science Intern to Junior Data Scientist
- Leslie John Mendiola from Data Science Intern to Junior Data Analyst

“Throughout their internship journeys, these individuals embraced every opportunity to learn, collaborate and contribute,” said Billy Fajardo, Support Services Business Partner. “From impactful projects and specialized training to mentorship and cross-functional collaboration, they demonstrated remarkable growth and commitment.”

For Phoemela, the people she met at Arch played a significant role in her internship experience.

“My internship wouldn’t have been as successful without my mentors and the friends I made along the way, who made every discussion feel like a safe space for growth and learning,” she said.

Now stepping into her full-time role, she looks forward to bringing new ideas and continuing to grow her actuarial expertise.

“I’m excited to bring a fresh perspective to optimizing our processes while continuing to develop my skills in actuarial analysis,” Phoemela said.

For John “JC” Christian, the internship deepened his interest in DevOps and infrastructure.

“Coming from a software engineering background, I’m looking forward to broadening my skill set, growing in this new field and career path, and delivering valuable contributions to my team as I continue learning,” JC said.

Leslie John is also beginning a new chapter in a different area of expertise. After interning with the Strategic Analytics Team, he joined the Statistical Reporting Team as a Junior Data Analyst.

“Since this is a different area of work, it’s both exciting and challenging,” he said. “I’m looking forward to building new skills, gaining a deeper understanding of data analytics, and learning from a new team while taking on new responsibilities.”

For Marc, the internship provided a strong foundation for his transition to full-time work.

He credits Billy, the HR team and Service Delivery Manager Jerwyn Mendoza for helping make the experience a success.

“The way they carried out their roles showed how much they care about the interns and the program’s success,” Marc said. “Their consistent communication — from the candidate stage through onboarding and ultimately our conversion to full-time employees — made the entire experience smooth.”

Beyond the opportunities ahead, Marc is excited to continue experiencing Arch’s culture and expanding his network.

“I’m very excited to continue learning and expanding my horizons with Arch,” he said, “because I know this company invests in its people.”

Billy believes the interns’ hands-on experience helped strengthen both their technical expertise and essential professional skills, including problem-solving, communication, adaptability and teamwork. By contributing to meaningful business outcomes, they developed the confidence and capabilities needed to excel in their new roles.

“This achievement reflects our commitment to nurturing emerging talent and providing meaningful opportunities for growth and career development,” Billy said. “We are proud to support the next generation of professionals, and we’re excited to see the positive impact they will continue to make across the organization.”

Congratulations to our newest full-time employees, and welcome to !

GSP’s L&C Team Joins Diligent Connections 2026

To gain practical insights into the future of risk management, the Legal and Compliance (L&C) team of Arch Global Services Philippines (GSP) attended Diligent Connections 2026, a conference sponsored by Diligent Corporation, a SaaS provider of governance, risk and compliance solutions headquartered in New York City. The Manila leg of the conference was held July 23 at New World Makati.

Representing GSP at the event were Atty. Portia Rosell, General Counsel and Compliance Officer; Atty. Kathryn Suzanne Enriquez, Corporate Counsel; and Lhealyn Tarrayo, Risk and Compliance Specialist.

This year’s theme, “Re-imagining Risk and Assurance with AI-Powered Insights,” explored how artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance audit planning, identify risk signals, strengthen decision-making and transform assurance into a strategic advantage.

“The event featured highly engaging topics and knowledgeable speakers who presented complex concepts in a clear and relatable manner, making it easier for participants to understand and apply the insights shared,” Lhealyn said.

“It was a well-organized and professionally executed event,” Suzanne added. “The program included an executive lunch prior to the conference and featured speakers from different countries, including Australia and the United States, demonstrating Diligent’s effort to bring diverse perspectives and expertise to the attendees.”

One of the conference’s highlights was its carefully curated agenda, which focused on relevant and practical topics for risk and governance professionals.

“The roundtable sessions were particularly beneficial because they provided an opportunity to discuss real-world challenges, better understand risks within our organizations and explore how AI can be leveraged to automate and enhance risk management processes,” Lhealyn added.

Beyond the learning sessions, the conference also fostered networking and collaboration.

“The food and coffee provided throughout the event encouraged meaningful conversations and connections with business leaders, subject matter experts, fellow participants and event hosts,” said Lhealyn. “These informal interactions complemented the conference content and fostered valuable knowledge-sharing opportunities.”

Overall, Diligent Connections 2026 delivered a well-balanced combination of learning, innovation and networking, leaving participants with practical insights and actionable ideas that can help strengthen risk management and compliance practices within GSP.

With a Great Movie Comes Great Giving

Watching a movie became an opportunity to make a difference when the Employee Engagement team of Global Services Philippines (GSP) hosted a movie block screening for a cause.

About 120 attendees joined the screening of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” on Sunday, Aug. 2, at SM Aura Premier in Bonifacio Global City. GSP employees, along with their families and friends, enjoyed the film in the Director’s Club and regular cinema while snacking on popcorn and chips.

Proceeds from the event will support the needs and well-being of the elderly residents of Kanlungan ni Maria (Mary’s Haven), a nonprofit organization in Antipolo City that provides long-term care and housing for poor, abandoned, neglected, homeless and sick older adults.

“I would like to extend our thanks to everyone who supported and made this initiative possible,” said Camille Pasaol, Director of Business Operations Support Services. “Your participation will help bring joy, comfort and care to the elderly residents of Kanlungan ni Maria. It was satisfying to see our colleagues and their families enjoy the movie while supporting a meaningful cause, a reminder that giving back is something we share beyond the workplace.”

Promoting Wellness through APE and Flu Vaccinations

From July 13 to 17, hundreds of Manila-based Global Services Philippines (GSP) employees visited the Bonifacio Global City office to complete their Annual Physical Exam (APE) and receive their yearly flu vaccinations. Sponsored by the company, the program aims to help employees monitor their health and support their overall well-being.

As part of this annual initiative, employees undergo a series of required medical assessments. This year, the APE achieved an employee completion rate of 88.20%, while flu vaccination participation rose to 92.58%, up from 87.65% in 2025.

According to Angelica Felix, GSP Compensation and Benefits Manager, the APE supports compliance with Philippine labor and occupational health regulations while helping identify potential health concerns early.

What Employees Need to Know

The APE helps employees spot potential health concerns early, supports compliance with Philippine labor and occupational health requirements and confirms employees are fit to perform their roles.

Privacy and Follow-Up Care

Employee privacy remains a priority. Detailed APE results are shared only with the employee, the company nurse and doctor, and the healthcare provider, unless the employee chooses to share them.

Employees who need additional laboratory tests, medical consultations or treatment may use the company-provided HMO coverage.

Flu Vaccinations Help Reduce Risk

Held alongside the APE, the annual flu vaccination program helps lower the risk of influenza and related complications, reduce absences and limit the spread of illness at work and in the community.

“At Arch, employee health and safety remain a top priority,” Angelica said. “Through initiatives such as the APE and annual flu vaccinations, employees are reminded to pause and take better care of themselves.”

GSP Joins the 2026 Global Benefits Forum in Singapore

Arch Global Service Philippines (GSP) participated in the 2026 Global Benefits Forum – Asia on July 23 at the Conrad Marina Bay in Singapore. Compensation and Benefits Manager Angelica Felix represented the company at the event, which explored the theme “Connected Intelligence” and brought together HR, Total Rewards and benefits professionals from across the region.

“The forum highlighted how organizations can combine human expertise, data-driven insights, technology and cultural awareness to create benefits strategies that support business goals while meeting the evolving needs of employees,” Angelica said.

The one-day conference covered several key topics shaping the future of employee benefits and wellbeing, including balancing global strategies with local needs, advancing healthcare and wellbeing programs, responding to economic and regulatory changes, leveraging analytics for decision-making, and harnessing technology and AI to enhance employee experiences.

According to Angelica, one of the forum’s most valuable aspects was the opportunity to learn from regional and global experts and exchange insights with peers facing similar challenges across industries and markets.

The event also featured an interactive well-being experience that encouraged collaboration, networking and meaningful discussions on employee well-being as a strategic business priority.

“Attending the forum was an enriching experience that provided valuable knowledge and fresh perspectives on the future of global benefits and workforce management,” Angelica said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to represent Arch GSP and look forward to applying these insights to further strengthen our benefits and people strategies.”
