Some ideas hit you instantly. Others leave you staring at a blank page for longer than you'd like.

And they’re both a part of the same process.

There are moments in my work where a concept just flows. The direction feels clear, the pieces start falling into place, and something whole begins taking shape. Those moments feel amazing.

Then there’s this side where nothing lands right away. Where you sit with it, step away, come back, and still feel a little stranded.

Do you know what that means?

It just means the idea needed more time.

Here’s what I keep coming back to:
If you can already see the goal, you've already reached it. The work between where you are and where you're going is the process doing exactly what it's supposed to do.

Trusting that the idea is on its way, even before it fully arrives, is part of what makes the final result worth everything

Ever get that feeling like something’s off?

People fixate on logos because they’re the most visible part of a brand, and visible problems feel easier to solve than strategic ones.

A logo built without understanding the brand first has nothing to hold onto.

It can look polished and still feel hollow.

When you design with intent, there’s reason behind every choice.
The color isn't random.
The font isn't a guess.
The spacing says something.

The reason always has to trace back to your brand's story.
When it clicks, you feel it. And so do the people you're trying to reach. 🌟

There’s a quiet shift that's been happening in the creative world.

Everything is faster now.

Tools are smarter.

Outputs are instant.

And somewhere in between all of that, something's missing.

It's meaning—creating things that carry intention.

Carrying our humanity into the work we do as designers, professionals, as people—that’s our true job.

It was never speed or quantity. But quality of the heart and soul.

May is almost here — and I'm being intentional about who I grow with this Q2.

I’m reaching out directly to the emerging local brands out there.

I build visual identity systems. Logo, color language, typography — the whole visual vocabulary your brand speaks in, built with real intention. And yes, sometimes that means fixing a logo. But not surface-level. We sit with your brand, understand what you're saying and who you're saying it to, and make sure the visuals actually follow.

That's the work I'm here for.

So if you're an emerging local brand— still building, still finding your footing, or maybe already running but visually inconsistent — and you're ready to invest in a brand that actually looks and feels like you: let's talk.

Drop a comment, send a DM, or tag a brand that deserves this. 🌱

I recently wrapped up a project that stretched me creatively and mentally, and while I’m proud of what came out of it, it left me a little depleted too…

I knew in the middle of the work I needed space, firmer boundaries, extended deadline to hit the project goals. But I kept pushing anyway, letting deadlines, self-doubt and pressure speak louder than instinct.

Looking back, much of the exhaustion wasn’t only from the workload, but overriding what I already sensed I needed.

I’m not simply recovering from burnout, but learning how protecting creative energy has to happen during the process, not only after the damage is felt—protecting the work means pausing sooner, not pushing harder.

I can see where pressure led me away from my better judgment, and there are choices I wish I had honored from the very beginning. Still, there’s clarity in recognizing that now. It taught me the kind of pressure I don’t want to surrender to again, and the kind of decisions I want to stand by next time.

I’m learning when self-trust needs to lead and persistence serves the work.

Have you ever ignored your instincts in a project and only understood it in hindsight?

Thought it was time for an official introduction✨

Hello, everyone! I’m Ysay, the designer behind the account Projects By Ysay.

I started this journey back in 2020 sharing my design work, lessons, and passion projects.
Since then, I’ve focused on refining my craft and growing as a visual designer. Throughout my journey I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with brands looking to build meaningful and impactful visual identities.

I wake up everyday with the willingness to do my best in the projects that find me (and vise-versa). Every project I take on is guided by intention: to create thoughtful design systems that not only look great but clearly communicate a brand’s message and purpose.

To those who’ve discovered me, thanks so much for the trust and confidence in our collaboration. It has meant a lot!

I’m here, dedicated to I help emerging brands build standout visual identities that connect and resonate with their mission and goal.

Let’s build something meaningful and achieve new milestones together. ✨
