“Sino prof mo?”

Diba nung college, isa ‘yan sa mga unang tanong natin?

“Okay ba ‘yang prof na ‘yan?”
“Magaling ba magturo?”
“Naku, wala akong natutunan diyan.”
“Doon ka sa isang prof, magaling ‘yun. Maiintindihan mo talaga.”

Kasi alam natin noon na malaking factor kung SINO ang magtuturo sa atin.

Hindi sapat na enrolled ka sa subject. Ang importante, may matututunan ka.

So bakit ngayong graduate na tayo at naghahanap ng training para sa isang skill na maaaring makatulong nang malaki sa career natin, minsan hindi na natin tinatanong:

“Sino ba ang magtuturo sa akin?”

Minsan ang unang tinitingnan natin ay presyo.
Minsan schedule.
Minsan kung ilang araw ang training.
Minsan kung anong certificate ang makukuha.

Pero paano naman ang instructor?

Sino siya?
Gaano na siya katagal nagtuturo?
Talaga bang naiintindihan niya ang subject, o marunong lang siyang sumunod sa slides at course materials?
Kaya ba niyang mag-explain sa isang complete beginner?
Kapag hindi mo naintindihan, kaya ba niyang ipaliwanag sa ibang paraan?
Kapag hindi gumana ang configuration mo, kaya ba niyang ipakita sa iyo kung bakit hindi gumagana, instead na ibigay lang ang tamang commands?

Because when you're learning a technical skill, your instructor matters.

Lalo na kung foundation course ang kukunin mo.
