Nobody replenishes because nobody knows to. Four hours later, the line supervisor is calling procurement asking why a part that's “in stock” isn't on the shelf.

I turn 50 this year.

Twenty years ago I thought building software companies was mostly about the software. Now most of what I think about is who's still in the room in twenty years — the team, the customers, the reputation.

I don't want Penxel to be the biggest system integrator in the Philippines. I want it to still be the one a plant manager trusts enough to call at 2am.

That's a longer game than most software companies play. I'm fine with that.
