IS IT RIGHT?: EQUALITY, INCLUSION & SAFE EDUCATIONAL SPACES โš–๏ธ

Do you know your rights?

Laws are created to protect people, promote equality, and help ensure that everyone can learn and participate in a safe and respectful environment. Yet, knowing that these laws exist is only the first step. Understanding what they mean and knowing where to seek help can help students recognize discrimination, unfair treatment, harassment, and other situations that may affect their rights.

This publication provides an overview of selected laws and policies related to equality, inclusion, and safe educational spaces, including the rights and protections they provide, what you can do when these rights are violated, and where you can seek help when concerns arise.

Know the Law. Know Your Rights. Know Where to Seek Help.

All information presented in this publication material was researched and compiled by the Committee on Gender and Development (CGAD) for information and awareness purposes. If you have questions, concerns, or would like to seek clarification about the information presented, feel free to send a message through the CSSO page.
