From humble beginnings to bold beginnings—Budg.it showed what it means to build with heart. 💼📈

As one of the youngest founders in Cohort 8, Budg.it stepped into the Startup Island PH program with a simple goal: to help people take control of their finances. But the journey was far from simple. From pitching in front of seasoned mentors to refining our platform through countless iterations, every challenge became a lesson, and every lesson became a step forward. 🛠️💡

Scaling isn’t just about growth—it’s about grit, humility, and asking the hard questions. We learned how to turn feedback into fuel, fear into fire, and ideas into impact.

Kudos to the Budg.it team for staying the course, showing up, and doing an incredible job from day one to Demo Day. You’ve proven that purpose and perseverance go hand in hand. 🙌👏

Last April 22, our team had the incredible opportunity to be part of the 30th All Aboard! Startup Mixer — a milestone night filled with real conversations, bold visions, and powerful connections.

From exchanging insights on the future of AI in the BPO industry to connecting with fellow innovators, the event reminded us why we build what we build: to create meaningful solutions that impact real lives.

Huge thanks to the amazing community at DOHE Philippines for welcoming us with energy, curiosity, and collaboration. We’re excited to keep showing up, growing, and learning — one peso, one habit, and one breakthrough at a time.

May 02, 2025, we were given the opportunity to represent and pitch our idea at the 4th CCS Research Congress under the theme "Tech-Driven Solutions for a Smart and Sustainable Future."—a forum that brought together innovative minds.

Grateful to have shared our work in front of students, faculty, and industry professionals. Closing the day with a 1st Place award and was a humbling reminder that progress comes with purpose, collaboration, and courage. This is only the beginning.

CENTRAL VISAYAS — DTI Region 7 Central Visayas, in collaboration with implementation partners The Company CEBU and Dual Story, officially launched the eighth cohort of the STARTUPISLAND.PH (SIPH) program, reaffirming its commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the region and beyond.

With 16 promising startups selected for this cohort, SIPH continues to build on its legacy of supporting tech-driven and impact-focused ventures. Among the new mentees are startups from Central Visayas, including Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor, as well as founders from Iloilo and Davao, reflecting the program’s growing national reach.

Since its inception in 2018, SIPH has produced 57 graduates.
