Haven’t done a piece that mattered quite this much to me in some time. Dolly has been a mainstay in my life since childhood and I wanted to honor her the best way I know how. Once I finished this, I knew I wanted to use it as a way to remind people to be more like her, to keep her light shining on.

So, I will be selling prints of this to raise money for a donation to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, one of many incredible acts of love she committed herself to.

They will be $10 in person, $20 online (only due to high shipping costs - the $10 print will still go entirely to the donation). If you’re interested in buying one online, message me here, in the interest of avoiding store fees. (I’m trying to keep the costs down so as much as possible goes to the donation.)

If you are local to me and would like to save the shipping costs, I’ll gladly meet ya, or if you’ll be at one of the events we have for the rest of the year, I’ll be sure to have these with me. We’ll be doing this donation drive until our last event of the year (Ocean City Comic Con) and then will be posting how much we raised total for the donation.

“The amount of incredibly sad news and death of our childhood heroes is overwhelming right now. Please take every day to be grateful for the art and artists you cherish as well as your own. Our time is short and what we all leave behind matters.”

My sister & I were incredibly lucky to have gotten to meet one of said childhood heroes. An experience neither of us have forgotten. This picture always makes me smile because through the very little he could say, he apologized that he wasn’t able to talk to us much and that he was sorry he couldn’t lean more in the middle 😭
