The Information Technology Convention was pioneered by Ateneo Information Management Society (AIMS), a co-curricular student organization for B. Information Management students, in 2002. In 2011, the course Information Management as well as its co-curricular student organization was closed. Now that Xavier University opened up a separate college for Computer Studies, its pioneering Computer Studies Student Council (CSSC) was handed over the Information Technology Convention. This will be its 10th year of gathering IT Students all over Visayas and Mindanao. The convention has 3 main goals: to challenge the students’ competence, to present them with additional knowledge, and to sharpen and develop skills in IT field. The Convention is a 2-day and 1-night activity. It is composed of sessions and discussions on IT related topics with distinguished resource speakers. Fellowship/social night will be held on the last evening with special performances from the delegates. Giving certificates to the delegates wraps up the convention.
