Before printing your artwork, check these common mistakes first.

Many artists spend hours perfecting their designs—but small technical details can completely change how your final print turns out.

Here are a few things to watch out for (Part 2):

✨ Text too close to the edge
No safe margin can lead to trimmed text and uneven layouts.
✅ Give your design space to breathe—keep key elements away from the edges.

✨ Incorrect file format
Compressed files can cause quality loss and color banding.
✅ Use print-ready formats like PDF, PNG, or PSD.

✨ Wrong artwork size
Scaling up a small file results in pixelation and distortion.
✅ Always design at the actual print size.

✨ Ignoring print material
Your design will look different depending on the paper.
✅ Matte = softer look | Glossy = more vibrant finish

Avoid these mistakes before printing your artwork.

Printing your designs should be exciting—but a few small setup errors can affect the final result. Before sending your file to print, here are some common mistakes artists make:

🔎 Low Resolution Files
Blurry or pixelated prints often come from low-resolution images. Always export your artwork at 300 DPI for sharp results.

🎨 RGB Color Mode
RGB is great for screens, but printers use CMYK. Converting your file helps avoid unexpected color shifts.

📏 No Bleed Margins
Without bleed, your design might get cut off during trimming. Add 0.125" bleed on all sides to keep edges clean.

✏️ Lines Too Thin for Print
Very thin lines may disappear in print. Make sure line weights are thick enough to reproduce clearly.

✅ Correct Setup
For the best print results:
• 300 DPI resolution
• CMYK color mode
• Proper bleed margins
• Clear, readable line weights
