Way back in 2022, I was working for a networking company, handling their page as a graphics artist. I poured my heart into every lead answering inquiries, calling potential clients (even when it wasn’t my job!), and making sure every webinar attendee felt seen and assisted.

The ads were rolling, the inquiries were flooding in… and I thought, “This is it! These are our clients!”

But here’s the painful truth: most of them didn’t buy from us. 😞

I later realized the reason wasn’t the effort or the ads—it was timing and touchpoints. Our leads were seeing so many ads, ours included, all over their feeds. When they were finally ready to buy, they just reached out to whoever came to mind first—or whoever appeared on their feed again.
