Barotac Viejo,Iloilo — Rising tennis talent Kacy S. Virparia delivered an outstanding performance at the inaugural Gov. Niel D. Tupas Sr. Tennis Tournament, securing victories across two major divisions and cementing her reputation as one of the brightest young athletes in the municipality.
Virparia captured the Championship title in the 16 Under Girls Category, defeating fellow standout Delgaye Marie T. Balbon in a competitive final match. Her composure and powerful play earned her the top spot in one of the tournament’s most anticipated divisions.
She also emerged victorious in the 12 Under Girls Category, once again showcasing her versatility and determination by overcoming Balbon in another thrilling contest. Winning across both age brackets highlights Virparia’s adaptability and her ability to excel against a range of opponents. Organizers praised Virparia’s consistency and competitive spirit, noting that her dual victories reflect the growing strength of Iloilo’s junior tennis scene. Spectators were equally impressed by the level of play, which underscored the tournament’s success in promoting grassroots sports development.

🎾 Rising Tennis Star Shines at 1st Niel D. Tupas Sr. Tennis Tournament
Iloilo, Philippines — Young tennis prodigy Delgaye Marie T. Balbon made her mark at the inaugural Niel D. Tupas Sr. Tennis Tournament, showcasing skill, determination, and consistency across multiple divisions.
Balbon emerged as Champion in the 12 Under Girls Category, defeating Kacy S. Virparia in a spirited final match. Her victory in this division highlighted her growing dominance in the sport and her ability to rise to the occasion under pressure.
In addition to her championship win, Balbon also secured Finalist positions in two other categories:
• 10 Under Category (Unisex) — Runner-up to Ly Mohammed Blanca
• 16 Under Category (Girls) — Runner-up to Kacy S. Virparia
