Some digital sketches I've done for Everskies in-game currency. I'm quite surprised I can actually do these things. I hope I can still sketch at this level lmao. Done using Procreate app around Feb-March 2023.

I'm still re-figuring out how to color my digital sketches. Rendering realistically is just stressful lol.
I want more bling blam pew pew animé coloring stuff you see in pixiv. Goin back to my animu roots.

I frankly don't know why I'm sharing this instead of actually working on it hahaha

Feeling like miss overshare yapper right now, bear with me.

My art process involves me sketching squiggles on paper then refining my ideas digitally. Then I print the cleaned up sketch to scale then cut and tape the printouts together. Using carbon paper or charcoal, whichever's available or more convenient, I trace the lines and finally get the line art to the canvas.

Underpainting is another story but def a much quicker process than conceptualization. I think the beast in making art is always the idea and concept vs the technicals. Technical skill is learned but so is creativity, but it takes certain worldliness and experience to make compelling art.

I am miles away from making compelling art.
Getting there hopefully.

𝐅𝐄𝐌𝐌𝐄 is about taking control of identity and presentation — about saying, "I am this way precisely because I chose to, and no other reason." It’s a rejection of social systems that try to force people into narrow boxes — systems that are often ableist, trans/homophobic, misogynistic, and fundamentally rooted in colonial control.

This event is about choosing oneself, being as authentic and genuine as one is: From a refusal of feminine conformity without sacrificing femininity itself, to not passing one's self-expression for assimilation and reductivity -- creating the space to be seen on your own terms.

𝐅𝐄𝐌𝐌𝐄 is all about diversity of expression — how artists’ personal processes and journeys shape their work and how their presence alone challenges what's possible in the world of art. This diversity includes the artist themselves and their identity in the same! From nonbinary to transgender to localized indigenous terminology and other terms under self-ID; this event aims to be inclusive -- bring yourself, to be recognized as you share and say you are!
