– What’s Been Done and What’s Next
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) as the lead government agency in Digital Transformation has developed various Digital Government Standards that sets clear rules and guidelines that ensures ICT/online services are secure, consistent, accessible, and citizen‑friendly.
Digital Government Standards in a Nutshell: are set of principles and guidelines that help government agencies design, deliver, and manage digital services effectively. Their purpose is to ensure security by protecting systems and citizen data, consistency by making services uniform across agencies, and accessibility so that everyone can use them. At the same time, they promote trust and efficiency by building citizen confidence while improving service delivery, and interoperability by enabling different systems to work together seamlessly.

1. Cybersecurity Standards – Best practices to safeguard systems and data.
2. Domain Name Standards – Rules for registering and managing official government domains.
3. Email Standards – Consistent naming, secure use, and proper management of government email accounts.
4. Website Standards – Cover design, navigation, accessibility, and security for user‑friendly websites.
5. Social Media Standards – Guidance for secure account management, threat prevention, and recovery from hacks.
