I'm excited to announce that LUNE is a finalist in this years Best Design Awards.

As a graphic designer, stepping into the world of industrial design was a whole new challenge for me. It was a fantastic opportunity to experience a different area of design, but it was also an opportunity to apply my own skills in graphic design where I could.

The class was tasked with designing, developing, and manufacturing a task lamp over a 12 week university semester. As a class we developed individual task lamp concepts, before settling on one design to develop and take to batch production. By the end of the course we had created thirty identical task lamps, complete with packaging and branding.

A big thank you to all the team who worked on the project, and to all who supported us! Seeing our project be recognised by the Designers Institute of New Zealand is truely incredible. All that hard work got us here team!

The purpose of the pull out pages is to show the reader, how to read a seismogram produced by a seismograph. While also being used to form a timeline, showing a summary of events discussed in the book.

Whakakāinga

Advertisement Campaign

We were tasked with designing a response to a proposal that was created in the first four weeks of the semester. This response had to address a target audience's needs, by contributing to their everyday wellbeing. The proposal I focused my project on, looks at how moving homes as a young adult can be a very stressful and anxious time. To combat this issue, I have created Whakakāinga.

Whakakāinga is a free, online service, that supplies a young adult with all the resources they need when they move out of home. Whakakāinga connects them to a large networks of companies that can assist them with their move. Whakakāinga makes moving homes stress free.

Whakakāinga is advertised across a range of touchpoints such as; buses, billboards, posters and instagram stories

Twenty Typefaces That Changed the World

We were tasked with curating a book inspired by John L. Williams's "Fifty Typefaces That Changed the World." We had to pick 19 typefaces that were included in John L. Williams's original book, as well as selecting a 20th typeface that was designed in the last decade (or in my case, the last 12 years). We were also tasked with designing a specimen about our chosen typeface.

Special thanks to Fabian Leuenberger and for creating such a wonderful typeface.

Both my book and specimen utilise a mix of fastback binding and a Swiss bound cover. To hold them together, I designed a book band that matches the cover of my book.

We were tasked with curating a book inspired by John L. Williams's "Fifty Typefaces That Changed the World." We had to pick 19 typefaces that were included in John L. Williams's original book, as well as selecting a 20th typeface that was designed in the last decade (or in my case, the last 12 years). We were also tasked with designing a specimen about our chosen typeface.

I chose a space theme for my specimen of Fabian Leuenberger's Europa typeface. The theme was inspired by the name of the typeface, as Europa is one of Jupiter's moons.
