Not all Hardwire PDM customers have an ECU, but plenty do or want to get an ECU to match up with their shiny new PDM and keypad.

So to make things easier and quicker we've decided to start providing a choice of ECU's and we plan to bring more options of keypads also.

Our first brand is Link ECU. They don't really need much introduction having been around pretty much since aftermarket ECU's were a thing. Link ECU offers a massive range of wire-in and plug-in replacement ECU's which can all be purchased from our site starting now.

https://www.hardwirepdm.co.nz/products/ecus/

To celebrate the new changes we are offering a 15% discount on any PDM if you also purchase any ECU. That goes up to 17.5% if you also purchase any keypad.

*Discount is taken from the PDM only and not the total order*

To claim your discount please contact us here on Facebook or e-mail [email protected]

This is the first video of a two part series on the CAN Bus. We take a deep dive into the physical aspects of the CAN Bus, before looking at the CAN Bus protocol itself.

The video is a little longer than others, as there is a lot to cover!
I hope you enjoy, and if you have any questions then as always, contact us through email or via messenger.

Following swiftly on from our recent announcement of support for the Motec keypad to the Hardwire PDM supported keypad list, we're happy to announce that we can now officially add the Haltech keypad to our supported list as well.

Haltech NZ supported us through the process and were awesome to deal with. We believe it's a total win/win for Hardwire and Haltech to help make the process easier for everyone.

They're available in 8 and 15 key variants, provide adjustable backlight brightness and button LED brightness also to make sure you can set it exactly how you like. Hardwire PDM also provides any input to be used to dim the brightness so you can have 2 settings for daytime and night time for instance.

Welcome to the new home for Hardwire PDM - NZ.
PDM's (PDU, PMU as they're also known) are a revolution in the way you approach the wiring in your road car, race car, boat or other type vehicles. Not only will a PDM save time and complexity in your wiring system (great for new builds especially) but they will give you a level of control over your electrical and electronics that you can't achieve with a traditional wiring system.

Some PDM's will only work with a specific ECU, we don't believe in that and all Hardwire PDM's can work with any ECU or be totally stand-alone too if you run a non EFI car.

With full on-board data logging your Hardwire PDM is great for tracing any issues also. Another great aspect is the ability to build in fail safes and security into your electrical system to save components or your entire vehicle from damage.

Now with full support for Motec keypads, as well as Blink, Grayhill and Marlin also you can easily interface with the PDM however you prefer.

You can find all of the product info and pricing available at www.hardwirepdm.co.nz and we're always here to answer questions.

If you're considering a PDM for your vehicle then you really need to also be considering a CANBUS keypad. For most people this offers the ability to access and make best use of all of the features of a PDM.

All you need is 4 wires to the keypad. 12volt, ground and 2 wires for CANBUS. You can have 15 or 20 buttons if you want all running over the same 2 CANBUS wires so it simplifies your wiring too and reduces complexity and weight.

CANBUS keypads also give you instant feedback via LED lights or backlight changes to easily understand the status of a feature or specific device.

Imagine, wastegate pressure the light is off, low boost light is green, high boost the light is orange, red light means there's a fault in the system. That type of instant feedback is helpful for road or race cars as well as many other types of vehicles.

Hardwire now fully supports Blink Marine, Motec, Grayhill and Marlin CANBUS keypads. That means you can configure the colours, LED's, warning etc all directly from within the Hardwire configuration software........easy.

Get in touch today if you want some more information or help deciding which way to go.
