Happy New Year!! We started the year of with some hardware repair! Which is our favourite!!! This HP Elitebook was saved from the tip and lives again! The cause: one tiny ML capacitor. Get in touch with if your hardware's in trouble.

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported Phix IT Studio as we fight to keep your PCs and laptops running at an affordable price! 🫡 We have enjoyed all the jobs but hardware is still our FAVOURITE! 😉😂

We wrap up this financial year with our own modest PC upgrade! We're saying goodbye to Intel as we pair the 7900XTX with a 7700X, under strict supervision, as always! 😆

We have also upgraded our cameras and streaming setup to make it easier for us to post more repair videos rather than get bogged down in editing so more videos are coming!

With the seasons changing, it is a good time to consider getting your PC or laptop professionally cleaned. Clean hardware runs cooler and longer and costs you less in the long run!

Another laptop and tablet kinda week! This week's features are three Microsoft surface tablets getting upgraded and debloated to last as long as the hardware can! If they've survived this long they can do a few more years! Some even with Windows 11! 🫡

Been a busy few weeks at the studio so it's a bit of a mess! Tonight's job is a Dell laptop that's in dire need of a new screen. Supervised work, of course! 🫡

Another random job for the new B Table in the Studio! Didn't need the microscope to find the fault--intermittent power loss-- on this Audio Technica AT2020 microphone. Foreman Cup is still adjusting to the new workspace for those smaller, more delicate jobs! 🫡 If it's broken, we'll Phix IT!

TOO MANY LAPTOPS!!! So it's PC REPAIR TIME!!!!

It's been a busy time with laptops coming in but we finally have PCs in the Phix IT Studio! Foreman Cup supervised a bit too closely and learned a lesson (no workman's comp). We have a backlog of more repair videos coming through!

Data recovery, fresh installs and no WiFi. It's been one of those laptop weeks at the Phix IT Studio. Laptops are great but PC repairs are our FAVOURITE!!! We do have our first PC repair coming out on YouTube very soon! Just wish Ms.Deedee took over the company earlier so doing my taxes wouldn't be a mission. Ex CEO Cup loved to spend that $$$ and has no regrets. 🙄

The current CEO of Phix IT Studio, Ms. Deedee, has taken a different approach. Since taking over Cup's former role, Ms. Deedee has rebalanced the books and approved additional expenditure to include a microscope, soldering equipment and a rework station! Phix IT Studio is pleased to announce that we have since been able to conduct board-level repairs on laptops, PCs and other devices, saving more e-waste from going to landfill! 🫡

A quick fix for another happy Customer! 🫡 This Lenovo laptop suffered from a bad case of a stuck power adapter plug. We disconnected the battery, removed the stuck connector and tested the laptop before it was returned. 🥳
