While tyres remain the most frequently checked product for compatibility, wheelsets are a close second — and for good reason.

With so many variables to consider, it’s often a complex area to navigate manually.

Our solution does the heavy lifting by assessing whether a replacement wheelset is compatible with your existing tyres, rotors (where applicable), and cassette.

It also surfaces important transition warnings — highlighting cases where the wheelset is compatible, but some product changes may be required, such as:

Switching to hookless-compatible tyres
Swapping to centrelock rotors
Running a cassette spacer

Because compatibility isn’t always a simple yes-or-no.

Our San Fran based Master Data Expert, Erik is headed to the Sea Otter Classic this year—armed with enthusiasm, questionable restraint, and a strong likelihood of talking about Bike Matrix at every possible opportunity.

So, if you see him wandering the expo looking tired, lost, and confused… please do the right thing.

Sit him down. Offer him a drink. Reassure him that everything is going to be okay.

And gently remind him that he doesn’t have to tell absolutely everybody about Bike Matrix (we know… it’s hard).

Also, if he’s accumulated “just a bit too much” bike schwag… don’t worry—we’ll figure out a way to get it home.
