Wow, this photo in our local District Monitor and on Facebook did the trick. From a class of 7 about to be shut down, we got interest from 19 people! The class on Thursday evenings is continuing until July, and then a new class on Friday from 11am to 1pm with start from next term ie Fri 18 July 2025. If you would like to join that class, ring Angela on 021 1234 727 or turn up at Ngati Apa on Hendersons Line, Marton with your birth cert or passport and sign up to the UCOL ACE Computer Basics Class starting in mid July.

Help: Three to five more people needed, would you like to learn how to create an email account and how to use it, be able to browse the web safely, find out about Word and Excel and loads more. 💻
If you are keen, Angela from the Marton ICT Hub invites you to come along to the computer suite at Ngā Wairiki Ngāti Apa Thursday evenings 6-8pm, for the next 9 weeks.
You will be using Microsoft desktop computers, but the training will also include phones and tablets. 📱
Please feel free to come along and enjoy learning in a fun and social environment. You will need to bring an original of your birth certificate or passport to be signed up on the spot.

Interesting that those who grew up with social media are more against it than anybody. It has certainly done lots of damage and it is always a close decision about whether the internet has delivered more positives or negatives over it's history.

The 2019 nationwide test of Emergency Mobile Alert will be held on the evening of 24 November 2019. You should expect to receive a test alert that evening sometime between 6 and 7 pm. Sandra
