***ANNOUNCEMENT***
If you’re supportive of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori you’re going to want to watch this 3 minute clip!
MOTAT (Museum of Transport and Technology) in Auckland and our little Whānau here in Tūranga have been working away on this prototype and our rangatahi Tāiki e Next Gen just did our first stress test.
Here’s a fun new way to engage people of all ages and reo proficiency to journey together to uplift te Reo Māori.
This is us, finding how to use Ai for good - with a closed language model behind our led neon signs means we can literally light up the world with Te Reo Māori!!! Speak Maori, light up our sign and get on the Reo Maori Waka 😉 Toia Mai Te Reo 💖
If you think this would be amazing to have in our schools, Marae, workplaces, wananga, homes…share and tag relevant peeps who you think would be great advocates to take this forward.
Maori Language Week-visit us at MOTAT in Auckland or Haututu Hacklab in Gizzy and give it a go.

🌟 Exciting Update: Toia Mai Te Reo Leaderboard! 🌟

WOW! introducing the beginnings of our new feature! As you speak Māori, our vibrant neon tohu (symbols) light up, celebrating your progress. The potential for these tohu to be installed at your kura, workplace, marae, home, kaupapa etc…

Now, we're launching a leaderboard that takes you on a journey across Polynesia—advancing from island to island based on how much Reo Māori you speak! 🏝️ It tells you how many minutes/hours/days your environment has Reo Māori flowing through it.

Additionally, the more tohu set up in different locations and on the leaderboard…we can watch as our waka (canoes) compete against each other or hit your Reo goals by migrating to the next island together.

This is what happens when you get a bunch of Haututu people hanging out inventing things.
