We're thinking about building an alternative to Twillio's SMS messaging into Clasp - and I'm trying to work out whether it's worth the effort.

So:

1. Have you inquired about sending individual (or bulk) SMS to parents/staff from another software, before?

2. If yes - how many SMS would you (approximately) send each week, do you think?

3. Why did or didn't you go ahead with setting it up?

**BREAKING NEWS**: ECE Licensing Criteria Reform is Announced Completed as of 28th Nov 2025

Licensing criteria are reduced by almost 20%, from 98 to 80. 58 were amended / merged. New criteria are to be used from April 2026. Thankfully, at least, the frequency of checks on sleeping children has been left unchanged. Regulations will be administered by the newly established Director of Regulation.

ECE Teachers sometimes have their phones on them; to document learning, snap pics for Storypark, or for emergencies.

When I told Wenbert one of our teachers was going to be taking on the responsibility of Emergency Drills for her Centre - and wanted to use her phone - he got right onto it.

The next time I logged into Clasp he'd jigged the fields around to make it EXTRA mobile-friendly (🎊 ta-da!🎉) **AND!!**

🩷 when I clicked 'Save to Desktop' from inside Clasp, a snazzy app icon appeared for easy log-in, too.

Nothing to download!

Such a nice feeling making life easier for our Managers and Teachers.
