Cockatoos!

They are trully beautiful birds but did you know they're considered a pest in New Zealand? 🤔

The NZ native Sulphur-crested cockatoos are large, white birds that have prominent yellow crests on the tops of their heads. They "impact native plant species through bark stripping, beak-inflicted damage and consumption of growing tips, seeds, flowers and fruit. May spread Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease to native parrots. Damages nut, fruit and cereal crops." (Source: Tiaki Tāmaki Makaurau)

They're also very commonly kept as pets. And pet escapes are a major pest source.

Too 👏com👏pli👏ca👏ted👏... appreciate the beauty without the drama and have them on your wall instead.

Btw, did you know that New Zealand has the highest rate of pet ownership in the world?* 🤯

Keisai Eisen is one of Japan's most renowed artists, famous for his portraits of women during the 19th century.

This "Bijin Haru No Kaze" (Beauties in a spring storm) series of 3 is an example of one of his finest works, with the exquisite beauty of the women emerging from the stormy skies.

The paintings were originally made on small panels measuring just 37 by 76 cm but we've given them a larger canvas to live on - at four metres wide they will really make an impact on your wall!

We don't know much about this drawing study called "Officier in het leger". But we do know quite a bit about the artist.

Hendrick Goltzius (1585 - 1589) was an engraver, print publisher, draftsman, and painter who is considered one of the great artists of Dutch art during the late 16th century and early 17th century. He produced over 500 drawings (!) and over 50 paintings as well as some 160 individual prints and series of prints for which he worked as a printer.

We will celebrate his legacy and call this one "Officier". And because we love Goltzius's style this will be the one of many works by him featured on papel. :)

P.S. Our designs can be adjusted to fit your wall.

The loud birds have landed! Our new patterned mural "Araras" feature macaws and in another tropical setting. Araras is how they're called in Brazil where they can be found mainly throughout the Amazon and Pantanal regions.

Did know that these beautiful birds are the largest type of parrot and can live up to a hundred years? They're also known for outliving their owners when kept as pets (big no no).

Why not complement your room with the charisma of these macaws on your wall? With their bright colours and an array of patterns, this wallpaper mural will surely be a conversation starter!

Vsevolod Maksymovych (1894-1914) artworks epitomizes the essential features of Art Nouveau: a world of conventionality, theatrics, and masquerade. He was considered as the most typical devotee of Art Nouveau style in Ukraine.

"Masquerade" here shows his fascination with detail and the use of stark contrasts between black and white to create an arresting visual effect.

Known for being he quintessential symbol of female power, lionesses support each other on the hunt, which enables them to take down prey that is faster or stronger than they are. They are also symbols of the divine sisterhood and female strength.

Powerful symbology in a powerful mural. Oversized designs have the ability to define the dynamic of a space, spoil the symmetry and create movement. We like to think wallpaper beyond boundaries. Rearranging the structure of a design can create a wonderful eye-catching result.

Did you know that toucans are very sociable birds?

They like to hang out together and are usually observed in flocks of 3 to 12. Sometimes 20 or more birds live in the same group. Surprisingly, It is still believed that they are monogamous.

Anyways, just a bunch of great excuses to have this vibrant design hanging in a living room or entertainment space. "Tucanos" is our ode to these beautiful well behaved creatures.

Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849) was a Japanese artist, ukiyo-e painter and printmaker of the Edo period. He is best-known for the woodblock print series 36 Views of Mount Fuji, which includes the iconic image, The Great Wave off Kanagawa.

"Peonies and Canary" (Shakuyaku, kanaari), is the inspiration for this mural design. It pairs very well with a minimalist decor approach and reminds us to keep life simple, clean, and uncluttered, by living with just the essentials.

When less is more, the most beautiful walls don't need to be fully covered.
