PERSON IN FOCUS: KEVIN McMULLEN
Meet Kevin — 68, recently retired boat builder, riding almost every day along the San Francisco Bay from his home in Point Richmond. He chose polarized lenses for one reason: the glare off the water doesn't stand a chance.
But Kevin needs prescription lenses to ride safely, and before ordering he had one question — would a prescription insert actually work inside TriEye?
Two specific concerns. First: could his optician fit lenses correctly given the gap between the outer lens and the insert frame? Second: would the insert frame block his rear view in the mirror?
He took the insert to his local optician. The correction is spot on. The mirror? Zero interference. He's since removed every bar-end mirror from all of his bikes.
"I made the TriEye choice carefully because, when the prescription insert is factored in, it is a bit of an investment. Happy to say — a very successful one. They greatly boost my confidence on the road, and as a result increase my cycling enjoyment."
— Kevin McMullen, Point Richmond CA
If you wear prescription glasses and have been wondering whether TriEye can work for you — Kevin's answer is yes.
