⛷️ AXIWI once again provides the communicationsets for the 2026 Mentelity Games in Saas-Grund! ⛷️
AXIWI will once again provide the communicationsets for the blind and visually impaired during the Mentelity Games in Saas-Grund, Switzerland, in 2026. Thanks to this valuable partnership, participants can once again descend the mountain safely and confidently this year.
For the fourth year in a row, the AXIWI communicationsets will be used during the winter sports week. Every participant with a visual impairment is assigned a dedicated, individual guide. They are in constant contact with eachother via AXIWI's systems. Clear instructions and direct feedback allow participants, along with our volunteers, to safely enjoy their descent.
Volunteer Pieter has extensive experience on the slopes:
“As a ski instructor and supervisor for visually impaired winter sports enthusiasts, I've been working with AXIWI for years. The one-on-one communication is fast and clear. You can respond immediately, which greatly increases safety. The sound quality is excellent, the range is reliable, and the sets are compact and user-friendly.”
Participant Annemiek is also enthusiastic:
“I am severely visually impaired and use AXIWI during winter sports and when I am out horseback riding. On the slopes, it's essential that I can hear and follow instructions clearly. Thanks to the system, I feel more confident and safe. Without a clear communication system, instructions could end up being misunderstood, which could lead to unsafe situations. With AXIWI, the instructions are clear, there's minimal wind noise, and the battery lasts a long time.”
Michel Engelen, director of Axitour, emphasizes the importance of the partnership:
“We have been supporting the Mentelity Games with AXIWI for several years. It's remarkable every year to see how many excited participants sign up. This underscores the importance of this event.
