The Nigerian Police Force have started the process of recruiting qualified Nigerians for the constable cadre. A statement on Saturday by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba, disclosed that every interested applicant must possess National Identity Number among other requirements.

According to Mba, the application would be done via www.policerecruitment.gov.ng while the names of the successful candidates would be released on 14th of September, 2020. Other requirements that must be satisfied as contained in the statement are that; applicants must be Nigerians by birth; possess a minimum of five credits at O’Level in not more than two sittings, including Mathematics and English; be between ages of 17 and 25 years; be medically, physically and psychologically fit; and not be less than 1.67 metres tall for male and 1.64 metres tall for female. The Police announced that the online application will be opened for a period of 6 weeks, from the 14th of July to the 23rd of August, 2020. In 2019, President Muhammadu Buhari approved the recruitment of 10,000 police personnel on an annual basis as part of moves to motivate and enhance the manpower of the Nigeria Police Force.

The N-Power application portal (www.npower.fmhds.gov.ng) will open at 11:45 pm on June 26, 2020, to all eligible Nigerians. Applicants are to note that the application process is completely free and there is no application fee. Applicants are requested to read and understand all relevant information prior to applying. Applicants should note the following steps:

This is open to only applicants aged 18 - 35.
(This means you must have been born between 1985 and 2002)

Before you go on to apply, ensure you have the following:

A printout or accurate details of your Bank Verification Number (BVN).
A recent passport photograph (1MB) either JPEG or PNG files.
c Valid Contact - Email address or a working phone number
d. Your Degree Certificate and NYSC certificate, if you are a graduate and wish to apply for N-Teach or N-Health.
Once the portal re-opens for applications, Log on to http://www.npower.fmhds.gov.ng

Once you get on the application portal, you will be required to read the terms and conditions of the N-Power Programme and accept that all the information provided is truthful and accurate.

It provid computer literacy to interested individuals. The Institute also operates a computer business center which spreads its tentacles across the following aspects; typesetting, photocopying, laminating, logo designing, scanning, downloading, internet services, printing of plastic ID Cards, etc.
