WELCOME to "AUGUST 2026 IS OUR MONTH OF FOCUS ON CHRIST TO MAKE GREAT IMPACT WITH SIGNS AND WONDERS"
Bible Texts: Isaiah 8:18; Mark 16:17–18; Acts 4:16
With great joy and unwavering faith, I welcome you to August 2026, our prophetic Month of Focus on Christ to Make Great Impact with Signs and Wonders, as graciously declared by our great Mother in the Lord, Archbishop M. E. Idahosa, the Archbishop of Church of God Mission International.
This divine declaration is not merely a theme for the month; it is a heavenly invitation to draw closer to Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
In a world filled with uncertainty, fear, and spiritual battles, God is calling His people to fix their eyes on Christ, for only through Him can we experience extraordinary impact accompanied by undeniable signs and wonders.
The Scripture declares in Isaiah 8:18: «"Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts."»
As children of God, we are not created to live ordinary lives. We are called to be living testimonies of God's power, grace, wisdom, and glory. Wherever we go, our lives should point people to Christ. This month, God desires to transform every believer into a vessel through whom miracles, breakthroughs, healing, restoration, and divine intervention will flow.
Jesus Himself made an extraordinary promise in Mark 16:17–18: «"And these signs shall follow them that believe..."»
Notice that Jesus did not say these signs would follow only pastors, evangelists, or prophets. He said they would follow those who believe. Every genuine believer carries the authority of Christ. Through faith in His name, the impossible becomes possible. Diseases are healed. Chains are broken. Demonic oppression is destroyed. Lives are transformed, and hopeless situations receive divine answers.
When Christ becomes the centre of our lives, His supernatural power becomes evident through us. The early Church understood this secret. They focused completely on Jesus, and the result was undeniable.
Acts 4:16 records the testimony of their enemies: "....indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them... and we cannot deny it."»
What an amazing testimony! Even those who opposed the Gospel could not deny the evidence of God's power. This is God's desire for every believer today. He wants your family, workplace, business, ministry, and community to become undeniable evidence of His goodness.
This month, choose to focus on Christ rather than your problems. Focus on His promises instead of your fears. Focus on His power instead of your limitations. Peter walked on water only while his eyes remained fixed on Jesus. The moment he focused on the storm, he began to sink. Likewise, our victory depends on maintaining our focus on Christ.
When we keep Christ at the centre of our hearts:
- Our faith becomes stronger.
- Our prayers become more effective.
- Our character reflects Christ.
- Our lives become instruments of miracles.
- Our testimony brings many souls into God's Kingdom.
Great impact is never achieved through human strength alone. It is produced by the power of the Holy Spirit working through yielded believers. God is looking for men and women who will trust Him completely, obey His Word wholeheartedly, and represent Him faithfully in every sphere of life.
As believers, we are ambassadors of Christ. Our homes should reflect His love. Our workplaces should experience His excellence. Our businesses should demonstrate His integrity. Our communities should witness His compassion. Everywhere we go, people should encounter the fragrance of Christ through our words, actions, and lifestyle.
This is also a month to boldly proclaim the Gospel. The greatest sign and wonder is the transformation of a sinner into a child of God. As we preach Christ, pray for the sick, encourage the discouraged, and serve others with humility, God will confirm His Word with miraculous signs following.
No matter what challenges you may have faced in previous months, believe that August marks a new beginning. Every delay shall give way to divine acceleration. Every closed door shall open by God's power. Every barren situation shall become fruitful. Every impossible mountain shall bow before the name of Jesus Christ.
I prophetically declare over your life that throughout this month:
The Lord shall make you a visible testimony of His grace.
You shall experience uncommon favour and supernatural breakthroughs.
The power of God shall preserve you and your household.
The Holy Spirit shall empower you to impact lives for Christ.
Your prayers shall receive speedy answers.
You shall walk in divine health, peace, wisdom, and victory.
The works of darkness against your life shall be destroyed.
Your life shall become a living proof that Jesus Christ is alive.
As we journey through this prophetic month together, let us remain steadfast in prayer, diligent in studying God's Word, faithful in Christian service, and unwavering in our commitment to Christ.
Refuse every distraction. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Walk in faith. Live in holiness. Love sincerely. Serve faithfully. Expect miracles daily.
May this August become one of the most memorable months of your life—a season of extraordinary testimonies, remarkable breakthroughs, supernatural manifestations, and undeniable signs and wonders that will bring glory to God.
