*HOW TO REDUCE YOUR IPHONE Data Usage*
The following are some tips for lowering your iPhone's data use, Please keep in mind that even if you follow these recommendations, your phone may still pull some data for System Services. The only option to entirely eliminate data consumption is to disable Data Roaming or keep your phone in Flight Mode(which is obviously impossible right).
Lets begin.
1. Turn off Cellular Data Automatic App Updates.
Ensure that your programmes only receive updates through Wi-Fi for any form of updates.
Navigate to Settings > iTunes & App Stores. Turn off the use of cellular or mobile data.
2. Turn off Background App Refresh.
When you are not actively using your applications, prevent them from pulling data in the background.
Select Settings > General > Background App Refresh from the drop-down menu. Turn it off completely or selectively.
3. Turn off iCloud on cellular data.
Check that iCloud is only syncing through Wi-Fi.
Navigate to Settings > Cellular / Mobile Data > Cellular Data. Disable iCloud Drive
4. Turn off Wi-Fi Assist.
Wi-Fi Assist allows you to stay connected when you have a poor Wi-Fi connection. If your travelling and connected to local Wi-Fi (Hotel, Cafe, Restaurant), these Wi-Fi connections may not be reliable and your phone may automatically switch to using data from your Know Roaming Sim. These tips is basically for travelers.
Go to Settings > Cellular / Mobile Data > scroll to bottom > Wi-Fi Assist > turn OFF
5. Disable Cellular Data for Unused Apps
Browse through your installed applications and disable unused applications or applications that use a lot of data. Applications disabled from this menu will still function over Wi-Fi.
Go to Settings > Cellular > Scroll through and disable applications you don't want to used your Cellular Data
6. System Services
Please keep in mind, even with the adjustments above, you can still have unexpected data usage from your System Services. You will not be able to
