Because the truth is, without a price list (rate card), you give people the license to keep negotiating your worth down. Tell them ₦1,000, they’ll try ₦950 or even ₦800. Some clients just love discounts, and they’ll expect it every single time.

But here’s what you need to understand 👇

A rate card isn’t just about putting figures on paper, it’s about:
✅ Setting boundaries so people know where you stand.
✅ Looking professional and structured.
✅ Saving yourself time and stress from endless negotiations.
✅ Staying consistent with your value.
✅ Building trust and confidence in your business.

When you don’t have one, it will cost you:
🔸 Money — because you’ll always bend.
🔸 Respect — because your pricing looks unstable.
🔸 Growth — because you’re busy arguing instead of delivering.

📌 Serious businesses don’t argue price, they present value, backed with a price list.

So I took a short break to watch a movie today. Somewhere in the middle, there was a gunfight between two rivals. Both of them kept shooting at each other and missing.

Then suddenly, one of them ran out of bullets… and guess what he did?
He asked the other guy (who still had bullets) to drop his gun so they could fight with their hands. 🤦🏽‍♀️

At that moment, I just paused and said, this is the most stupid thing ever.
Why on earth would I drop the advantage I have just to play fair with you?

And then it hit me 😮
This is exactly what many business owners do every day.

They have the "gun" (their unique skills, creativity, digital tools, content, visibility strategies), but instead of using it to stand out, they drop it. They hide. They try to blend in. They copy others. They want to "play safe."

Meanwhile, the competition is out there firing shots, showing up, putting their business in front of people, creating content, using design, branding, and marketing as their bullets.

And you? You’re dropping your gun.
You’re refusing to use your biggest weapon --- your visibility.

In business, never drop your gun.
Your gun is your strategy. Your voice. Your design. Your content. Your consistency
