WHEN SHOULD YOU CONSIDER SEEING A FERTILITY SPECIALIST?

Trying to conceive can be exciting at first.

But when the months start passing without a positive pregnancy test, you may begin wondering:

β€œIs something wrong?” πŸ€”

First, don't panic. Not getting pregnant immediately doesn't automatically mean you or your partner has a fertility problem.

However, there are situations where it makes sense to speak with a doctor or fertility specialist.

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ 1. You've been trying for 12 months without getting pregnant

If you're under 35 and have been having regular unprotected s*x for about a year without pregnancy, it's reasonable to seek a fertility evaluation.

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ 2. You're 35 or older

It's generally recommended to seek an evaluation after about 6 months of trying if you're 35 or older.

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ 3. Your periods are very irregular or absent

Irregular periods can sometimes mean that you're not ovulating regularly.

A doctor can help find out what's causing the irregularity.

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ 4. You have severe period pain or a history of conditions that may affect fertility

Conditions such as endometriosis or previous pelvic problems may affect fertility and deserve medical attention.

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ 5. You've had repeated miscarriages

If you've experienced repeated pregnancy losses, talk to a healthcare professional so they can investigate possible causes.

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ 6. Your partner has concerns that could affect fertility

Fertility is not only a woman's issue.

Both partners can contribute to fertility difficulties, so evaluation may involve both the woman and the man.

❀️ And here's the important part...

Seeing a fertility specialist doesn't mean you're infertile.

It simply means you're getting information about what's happening and finding out whether there is anything that needs attention.

Sometimes, knowing the problem is the first step toward finding the solution.

TTC LADIES, DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR FERTILITY. ❀️

TTC CLASSROOM β€” LESSON 1 πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ«

How do you know when you are most fertile?

If you're trying to conceive, knowing your fertile window can help you understand when pregnancy is most likely to happen.

Your fertile window is the few days leading up to ovulation and the day of ovulation itself.

Why?

Because s***m can survive inside the reproductive tract for several days, while the egg is available for fertilization for a much shorter time after ovulation.

Here are some signs that may help you identify your fertile days:

1. Clear, slippery cervical mucus:
You may notice discharge that looks clear and stretchy, similar to raw egg white. This often happens around your fertile days.

2. Increased s*xual desire:
Some women notice an increase in libido around ovulation.

3. Mild lower abdominal pain or discomfort:
Some women experience a mild ache or cramp around the time an egg is released.

4. A positive ovulation test:
An ovulation predictor kit detects the rise in LH that usually happens shortly before ovulation.

5. Tracking your cycle:
Knowing the length and pattern of your menstrual cycle can help you estimate when ovulation may occur.

But here's something important:

Not every woman will experience all these signs.

And simply having one of these symptoms doesn't guarantee that ovulation has happened.

That's why learning how to track your cycle and combining different signs can be more helpful than relying on just one.
