YOUR BRAND SHOULD BE RECOGNIZABLE AND PROTECTED AS WELL.
Last week, I made a repost of Two brands, similar product packages but different brands and the owner of the Post captioned it-
"When does product packaging cross the line from inspiration to infringement!"
This got me thinking more about small business owners who display their products with or even without an identity intentionally. Some create great products but may not be equally intentional about owning their Brands' identity. And I'm about this as a task.
Their Brand Name, Logo, Packaging, Colors, Typography and their distinctive visual presence matters a whole lot. I try as much as I can to convince the very small business owners around me as per getting it right from the start.
When all of these details consistently represent your product and your brand promise, customers have a clearer way to recognize who the original is.
Branding may not stop someone from copying you but a strong and distinctive identity can Make your business easily recognized, remembered and distinguished.
While you focus on the quality of the content inside the package, focus on the brand's identity.
Think about what your customers see, feels and are used to with your brand
Don't package your product only, package your IDENTITY as well.
BRAND CONFUSION - RECOGNITION -OWNERSHIP
Make your brand difficult to confuse. Own it!
