Job Title: Human Resource Officer
Industry: Hospitality
Location: Lekki, Lagos State.
Working Hours: 12noon to 8:00pm daily, 5 days a week (Monday - Friday).
Renumeration: 140k – 200k
Job Summary:
To provide a professional, proactive and effective HR service to all staff within the organization. To provide appropriate advice and support to staff and managers in the implementation and ex*****on of HR policies and procedures.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Spearhead hiring process by advertising, Screen, interview and evaluate candidates
Prepare job offers and employment contracts
Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained in all areas of responsibility
Plan attractive compensation and benefits packages to increase retention
Manage payroll and keep updated records of payments
Oversee employee attendance and working schedules including breaks, overtime and time off
Schedule onboarding sessions and job-related trainings for all employees
Ensure effective recruitment and induction processes are followed and maintained
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
Ensure all operations departments deliver excellent service standards on a consistent basis.
Ensure all operational staff complies with relevant legislation, licensing conditions, health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry
Track key recruiting metrics like turnover rates and source of hire
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
Ensure and Create a positive working environment
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
Carry out any other duties as appropriate to the post and as requested by the company board
JOB REQUIREMENT:
B.Sc./ H.N.D in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration Organisational Psychology or similar field
Minimum of 2 years work Experience as an HR, preferably in the hospitality industry
Hands-on experience with recruiting for junior, senior, seasonal and part-time positions
Excellent interpersonal skills, competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company; people oriented and results driven.
Highly presentable with a proactive approach to maintaining excellent customer service.
Previous experience of managing and training staff as a team leader or supervisor capacity; minimum one year’s experience.
Excellent active listening, negotiations and presentation skills.
Proficiency and competency in MS Suites.
Additional Diploma in Restaurant Management is a plus
Experience in a multi-functional hospitality operation
Professional Certification is an added advantage
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and Public Holidays as required
