WISDOM PILLARS FOR A LIFE OF IMPACT

11/05/2026

*A Day with Mr. Edun*

What began as a simple delivery mission turned into one of the most remarkable business experiences of my life.

I first met Mr. Edun through a phone conversation about producing conference materials for his event in Abuja, scheduled to hold in just a few days.

The brief was to locally reproduce and deliver premium conference materials that would otherwise have been shipped from the UK at significant airfreight cost, all within a very tight timeline.

When we finally met in person, He was sharply dressed in corporate attire, wearing a black hat that stood out perfectly against his outfit to discuss the project. It was about five days until the conference.

While we talked, he explained the details of the project and the urgency of the delivery. We agreed, and immediately got to work.

Our organization, Ceenai Multimedia Ltd, provides a wide range of media and print production services from start to finish. Our team is made up of capable hands, and this project became one of a true test of our ability to deliver quality print production under pressure.

The team worked tirelessly to meet the deadline and to avoid any delivery issues, I decided to personally board a flight to Abuja and deliver the materials myself.

When I arrived at the hotel, I waited at the reception. His partner welcomed me warmly, Moments later, Mr. Edun came out and greeted me.

He carefully examined the items and seemed genuinely impressed. He then brought out his phone and recorded a video of the delivery. He repeatedly praised our speed and professionalism, highlighting the fact that I had personally brought the materials to Abuja.

He wished me good luck in the video and later posted it on his WhatsApp status.

A few minutes later, he turned to me and asked, “What are your plans for the day?”
I told him I planned to relax until evening before my return flight. “Then come with me,” he said. Since I had no urgent schedule, I gladly accepted.

Within minutes, we were in his car heading into the city. Our first stop was the apartment of a government minister. Breakfast was offered, but before I could respond, Mr. Edun had already gone into a brief meeting with him. Soon, we were back on the road.
As we drove through Abuja, I quietly admired the city.

The smooth roads, beautiful architecture, and orderliness stood out to me. There was a calm elegance about the Federal Capital Territory that was impossible to ignore.

Soon, we entered another neighborhood, and I noticed the heavy security presence. Then I looked up and saw the unmistakable structure of the National Assembly Complex.

We had stopped to see one of his friends.
At every stop, Mr. Edun spoke highly of my work. He consistently mentioned the quality of our service, the speed of delivery, and my decision to personally bring the materials. He introduced me proudly to his friends, speaking of my professionalism in a way that deeply humbled me.

Before long, we drove into the National Assembly complex itself. He was welcomed by an aide, who escorted him into an office to meet his guest.

Soon after, we were on the move again, heading to another part of Abuja for yet another meeting with one of his associates.
We made one final stop before heading to the hotel where the conference would hold. By then, I assumed he would finally sit down to eat or rest.

Instead, he walked straight into the event hall and immediately began strategizing and making preparations for the event.

I checked the time. My flight was only two hours away, and I needed to get to the airport.
I considered staying a little longer to listen to his presentation, but with Abuja traffic in mind, I had to leave.
As I made my way back, I reflected on the day.

It had been more than a delivery trip. It was a lesson in excellence, trust, and the power of going the extra mile.

That day reminded me that quality service does more than satisfy clients—it opens doors, builds trust, and takes you into rooms your title alone may never take you.
