Yesterday, I was on the verge of closing a deal with a female customer who came to buy a Samsung gadget, everything was going well until she got a call from her pastors wife. Her shout of pain, coupled with how she flung her iPhone 12 Promax was what caused me to rush to her rescue.
It was after we did our best to calm her that the whole gist finally came out. In tears, she narrated that she had just lost her fiancee to gas explosion. How did it happen? Well, the guy was on leave from work, he was resting in his flat when his neighbour's visiting village in-laws came to ask for his help. The teenagers wanted to make food but could not figure out how to turn on the gas cylinder. Unknown to the young man, the children somehow messed with the gas hose and gas had already saturated the kitchen before they came to call the guy.
As the guy lit the matches, the next thing was a mighty explosion, and yes it took the guys life and cause the teenagers different levels of physical burns and trauma. To say I was speechless is an understatement, to think the guy wasn't even up to 30 years also added to the pains, he died while trying to render help to total strangers, what an odd world we live in. As I comforted the young lady, I silently prayed that God will give her the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss,cos truly, I just couldn't fathom being in her shoes cha cha, where will she even start from again? Their marriage was supposed to come up this December, barely 4 months from today, Kai, it was truly a tragedy sha 😔
