2026 JAMB ADMISSION POLICY MEETING – OFFICIAL HIGHLIGHTS

We have now come to the conclusion of the 2026 JAMB National Policy Meeting on Admissions. We appreciate your continued engagement throughout the proceedings.

Below are the major resolutions and key highlights from the meeting:

➣ Minimum admissible UTME score for Universities fixed at 150
➣ Minimum admissible score for Colleges of Nursing pegged at 150
➣ Minimum admissible score for Polytechnics fixed at 100.
➣ Institutions are not permitted to admit candidates beyond their approved quotas
➣ Candidates must accept any offer of admission within four weeks of receipt
➣ Public Universities admission deadline set for 31st October, 2026
➣ Polytechnics admission deadline set for 30th November, 2026
➣ Monotechnics and Colleges of Education deadline fixed for 31st December, 2026
➣ Change of Course/Institution portal will be activated after the mop-up UTME
➣ Uploading of O’Level results will continue within the approved timelines
➣ Institutions are expected to commence Post-UTME and screening exercises immediately
➣ University of Jos emerged as the biggest beneficiary at the 6th NATAP-M Awards with a ₦500 million grant
