Davido pays legendary Nigerian singer, Bright Chimezie $1-million for sampling his song on "With You" feat. Omah Lay.

He called Bright Chimezie—the man whose music inspired him—and gave him $1 million, just for sampling his song. Not just that, he also gave him 40% royalties on the song. Then he gave Omah Lay 50%. And Davido? He took just 10%.

The biggest hit on his “5IVE” album, and he’s not even chasing the money. He’s chasing fulfilment, love, joy… and legacy. He just wants everyone around him to win.

That’s not just music. That’s a heart filled with gratitude. That’s someone who understands that when you stand on the shoulders of legends, you honour them, not cheat them.

OBO is not doing this for fame or fortune anymore. He’s doing this for love. For happiness. For legacy.

And honestly, this is the kind of man the industry needs.

001 for a reason! ❤️💥

Gnt Nation Welcome Another singer

🚨 𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐍𝐓! Believe Joseph 🎊🎊🎊

It's amazing how God blesses a man with a voice that ministers to the hearts of his people, and today, we’re honoured to welcome one of those unique voices to the GNT Nation family: Minister Believe Joseph.

Believe is a worship leader, songwriter, and minister with a heart fully yielded to God. Born in Imo State, he grew up surrounded by faith, music, and a heart for God. What began in a small church choir has grown into a life committed to honouring God through sound and service.

He carries a sound that is honest, prayerful, and full of the Spirit; and we look forward to the impact that will follow as he steps into this new journey with us.

Welcome home, Minister Believe.
Let’s build, worship, and echo heaven together.

I took a loan of 5 million naira from a bank to fund my wedding, using my landed property as collateral. It was only after everything was over that I realized I had made a huge mistake.

During the preparations, my phone was constantly ringing, everyone was calling, giving their suggestions, and offering advice. I felt like people were really with me.

I rented the biggest hall, bought expensive clothes, and ordered a world-class cake. Everything looked perfect that day.

I actually enjoyed the wedding and all the paparazzi, our wedding was the talk of the town.

But I didn’t realize my mistake until after the reception, when people started leaving, the event planners were taking down the decorations, and the chairs were being packed up.

When we got to the hotel room, I expected my phone to keep ringing like before, but it was silent. No one called. It was just me and my wife.

I looked at her, and it hit me, I had wasted 5 million naira just to impress people. A sudden wave of anger consumed me that night.

My wife had no idea I had borrowed the money because I had lied to her, saying it was from my savings.

When she tried to get close to me that night, I couldn’t respond. I told her I had a headache and went to sleep.

I spent the next four years painfully repaying that debt.

If I were to get married again, I wouldn’t even do a reception. I would just pay the dowry, have a small family dinner, and take my wife home.

The problem is, people hardly listen. Everyone wants to learn from their own experience.

How can someone borrow 5 million naira just to fund a wedding?

Omo, na overjoy dey cause this kind thing!

It was a huge financial mistake, but thank God you came out of it well.

"I used to act mostly in Yoruba movies, and I wasn't that popular. So, we traveled to Ghana with other actresses like Ini Edo. I was with my kid sister, who was my PA. I didn't even have a manager because I didn’t know what it meant to touch millions.

After my movie Jenifa, they called us to Ghana and paid me millions, which made me happy because I had never earned that much from any movie.

When we arrived in Ghana, nobody recognized me. They were snapping pictures with other actresses, and my kid sister said, 'Sister, they don’t know you ohhh.'

I told her, 'Next year, I will be known. I’m going to work towards that, and I will be known outside Nigeria.' She answered, 'Amen.'

While there, I was only calculating how to go about it. Then, I went back home and told myself, 'If I must be recognized, I have to speak in English and add a little Yoruba.'

And that’s how I won. I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m not where I was yesterday."
