📖 ONE CHAPTER DAILY
Today’s Reading: Hebrews 7 (Verses 1–28)
💡 Theme of the Day
"The Eternal Priesthood: Jesus, Our Permanent Savior"
📌 Key Takeaways to Meditate On
The Mystery of Melchizedek (Verses 1–10): Long before the Jewish priesthood existed, a mysterious king and priest named Melchizedek blessed Abraham, and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. His name means "King of Righteousness" and "King of Peace." With no record of his birth or death, he resembles the Son of God.
A New and Better System (Verses 11–19): The old system of priests and laws was imperfect and couldn't truly change hearts. Therefore, God set it aside to introduce a better hope—Jesus—who became a priest not by family lineage, but by the power of an indestructible life.
God’s Unbreakable Oath (Verses 20–22): Unlike human priests, Jesus was appointed with an official oath from God: "The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: 'You are a priest forever.'" Because of this oath, Jesus is the guarantee of a much better covenant.
He Lives to Intercede (Verses 23–28): Earthly priests died and had to be replaced, but because Jesus lives forever, His priesthood never ends. He doesn't need to offer daily sacrifices for His own sins; He sacrificed for our sins once for all when He offered Himself.
⭐️ Memory Verse of the Day
"Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them."
— Hebrews 7:25 (NIV)

📅 Reflection Question
How does it comfort you to know that Jesus’s ability to save and sustain you doesn't depend on your flawed performance, but on His perfect, indestructible, and eternal life?
