Shehu Usmanu Danfodiyo: Malami, Mai Gyara da Jagoran Jihadi

In Episode 4 of “Jaruman Hausa da Najeriya,” we explore the story of Shehu Usmanu Danfodiyo, the renowned Islamic scholar, teacher and reformer whose movement led to the establishment of the Sokoto Caliphate in the early 19th century.

From his early dedication to Islamic learning and teaching, to his call for reform and the events of 1804, his story remains an important part of the history of Hausaland and West Africa.

For this series, I’m combining AI video creation, Hausa narration and cinematic visual storytelling to bring historical stories to life in a modern format while keeping the cultural setting at the heart of each episode.
