Laptop Touchpad (Mouse pad) showing orange light, what does this mean?

It can become extremely unpleasant and stressful when your Laptop Touchpad(Mouse) suddenly stops working, and on top of that, you see a strange looking "orange light" at the top corner of your Touchpad (Mouse pad).

For most Laptops, manufacturers like HP, Dell, Acer among others include a key or shortcut on the Touch pad (Mouse pad ) or Keyboard to Enable or Disable the functionality of mouse at will.

This, however can create unforseen circumstances in which the functionality of the mouse is unintentionally disabled by the user, often causung momentary confusion and frustration.

What to do?

In the case of many HP Laptops( HP 840 G3, HP Folio 9470/9480m etc.), all you need to do is to "GENTLY TAP THE ORANGE LIGHT 🧡 TWICE". This enables the mouse functionality and you're good to go, no panic.
