But behind that number are hundreds of young minds introduced to ideas that can shape how they understand technology, money, opportunities and their future.

We believe everyone deserves access to the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in today’s world.

Through a partnership between Abdulwahab Suleiman, convener of Alfapreneur Africa and D'titi Innovation HUB, we took financial and digital literacy beyond the classroom and into the heart of our communities.

This was more than a tour. It was a step toward bridging the digital and financial literacy gap.

Our team represented D’titi Innovation Hub on SBS Radio, sharing with the community what we are building through our upcoming Weekend Classes.

We want children, young people and adults to have the opportunity to develop practical digital skills, discover what they can create with technology and build confidence for the future.

D’TITI INNOVATION HUB CONCLUDES SMART SUMMER BOOTCAMP, EMPOWERS 25+ YOUNG LEARNERS WITH DIGITAL SKILLS

We successfully concluded our 2026 Smart Summer Bootcamp, training over 25 young learners through six weeks of practical digital education, creativity and confidence-building.

The coding and development track recorded impressive results. Over the six-week programme, participants learned the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, understood the basic elements of coding and successfully built and presented functional websites.

We also introduced some learners to digital literacy, desktop publishing, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft tools, with students given opportunities to apply their knowledge through practical tasks and beautiful presentations.

Beyond technical skills, the programme placed strong emphasis on self-confidence, communication and presentation, giving every learner an opportunity to stand before an audience and confidently showcase what they had created.

A major highlight was the students’ educational visit to Ilorin Innovation Hub (IIH), where they experienced a real digital and innovation ecosystem firsthand.

The visit was designed to broaden their perspective and encourage them to consider the growing opportunities and careers available in the digital space.

For D’titi Innovation Hub, the achievement goes beyond completing a summer programme.

“We are not just raising computer users; we are raising confident creators, problem-solvers and future innovators.”

DIH appreciates the students, parents, facilitators, partners and everyone who contributed to the success of the programme.

The Smart Summer Bootcamp may be over, but the journey of learning, creating and innovating continues.
