Since the establishment of the University of Ibadan in **1948**, one question deserves serious public attention: **Why has no Muslim professor ever served as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan?**

The University of Ibadan is one of Nigeriaโ€™s oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher learning. Yet, throughout its long history, **no Muslim has occupied the position of Vice-Chancellor of the institution.**

This raises serious concerns about **representation, fairness and balance in the administration of the university.** It is particularly important to ask this question because the University of Ibadan is located in the South-West, a region with a substantial Muslim population alongside other religious communities.

This is not a demand that anyone should become Vice-Chancellor simply because of religion. **Qualification, competence, experience, integrity and merit must always be considered.** But if qualified Muslim professors have been available over the years, why has none ever emerged as Vice-Chancellor?

๐Ÿค” **Is this simply coincidence, or is there an institutional imbalance that deserves to be examined?**

The Federal Government, as the proprietor of the institution, should pay attention to this situation and ensure that the process of selecting the Vice-Chancellor is transparent, fair and genuinely inclusive.

๐Ÿ•Œ **Muslims are part of the Nigerian academic community. They deserve equal opportunity to aspire to and occupy leadership positions when they meet the required qualifications.**

It could have ended in tragedy.

Nollywood actor **Rykardo Agbor** has survived a serious car crash in **Ibadan, Oyo State**, after his silver Lexus SUV suffered extensive damage. ๐Ÿ’”

The incident reportedly occurred around the **Cornerstone City billboard area in Ibadan** on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

Images and video from the scene showed the frightening condition of the vehicle โ€” the bonnet was badly crushed, the grille was smashed, parts of the engine were exposed, and the front-left tyre was damaged. ๐Ÿ˜ฐ

But despite the terrifying scene, **Rykardo Agbor survived.**

I was married once.

I thought I had found the man I would grow old with. His name was **Daniel**. When I said โ€œI do,โ€ I honestly believed my marriage would last forever. ๐Ÿ’โค๏ธ

But sometimes, life takes you through a road you never planned to travel.

Slowly, things began to change.

The laughter disappeared.

The arguments became more frequent.

I kept telling myself:
