Jobs/Businesses you shouldn't do if you value your peace of mind. Part 1
1. Logistics: You have to get your business registered even before you start and make sure all your licenses and permits are up to date always which is big money. You buy fuel like you are filling the sea of Galilee, deal with riders who are mostly illiterate and rude, deal with riders or drivers who steal or divert customers' goods, pay for missing items or damaged goods which run into millions sometimes and deal with impatient and insatiable customers. Lastly, dont do this business if you hate confrontations with tax force, MOT and other government transport workers. You have been warned🚫
2. Elementary School Teacher: Once they say things like "We are a family here" my dear carry your slippers and run Ben Johnson. Management can be very toxic, shouting and talking down on their staff, teachers gossip alot and try to bring their fellow teachers into the bad books of Management to elevate themselves. The poor pay in Nigeria doesn't help matters atall making teachers complain alot yet not ready to make the move to a better environment. Management keeps bringing up policies that stress their staff more and give liitle room for yourself and your family. No matter how you try to be careful in this situationship, trouble will still find its way to you somehow. Don't try it if you haven't seared your heart🚫
3. Fruit Business: If you are not in a very densely populated urban area, abort mission!!! This is a business that you can never predict sales no matter how you do it because people don't buy it everyday plus it is very expensive, people just want to eat food, times are hard, Nigerians see it as luxury. Because of unpredictable sales and nature, your goods may go bad sometimes even before you return from the market. For some fruits even if they looks good on the outside, they may be rotten inside giving you bad reviews from customers and this hurts the business. You may include parfait and fruit salads but I'll say fruit is fruit, so look before you leap🚫
Let me stop here. Note that no business is without ups and downs but like Animal Farm will say, all animals are equal but some are more equal than others🤷♂️
