With the apprenticeship intake set for September 28, 2026*, the Minister of SMEs and Employment Promotion, in charge of Vocational Training, *Awaou BACO*, met on August 4* with heads of Vocational Training and Apprenticeship Centers (CFPA).

The meeting identified the main challenges facing the centers: lack of infrastructure, equipment, and trainers.
But it also mapped out concrete solutions.

- *Audit* of staff and technical workshops
- *Upskilling* trainers
- *Awareness campaign* to get more young people into skilled trades

Goal: get CFPAs ready and make vocational training more attractive ahead of the new school year.

I received the congratulations of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Romuald WADAGNI, in person over the phone.

Just a call… but more than that, the immense pride of hearing my President’s voice.

I was asleep when my team woke me up. On the other end: the Head of State.

He introduced himself: “This is Romuald WADAGNI.”

And right there… I couldn’t breathe 😆😆
I barely managed: “Heee… Good morning Mr. President! I hope you’re doing well?”

He said he was well, then sent me his congratulations.

I still can’t believe it.

A call from the Head of State.
A moment I’ll keep in my heart for a long time.
