The leadership of the Student Union Government, through the Office of the Public Relations Officer, is proud to formally announce the successful launching and official activation of the Synergy Hub alongside the landmark TechMedia Expo 1.0 at Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
Designed as a decentralized job incubator, talent marketplace, and practical skill accelerator, the Synergy Hub represents a massive structural shift in how UNIZIK students transition from academic theory into real-world enterprise, high-value tech tracks, and global marketability.
Key Highlights from the Launching Ceremony
The landmark event brought together visionary state leaders, top corporate giants, and student innovators to build a sustainable pipeline for student success:
Executive Mentorship & Civic Empowerment: Keynote guest Hon. Dr. Law Mefor delivered an inspiring address, re-igniting student civic participation and economic drive while reaffirming his long-standing commitment to youth empowerment.
Corporate Integration & Real Opportunities: Moniepoint stormed the campus, directly engaging students on financial inclusion and digital business scaling. In addition to sharing branded merchandise and gifts, Moniepoint officially announced key career, internship, and financial empowerment channels reserved for participating UNIZIK students.
Technical Capacity Building: Our primary technical partner, Soltec, introduced structured 90-minute masterclass roadmaps across high-demand digital disciplines: Full-Stack Web Development, Data Science, Data Analysis, and Cybersecurity.
Honoring Academic Vision & Pending Conferments: The Synergy Hub continues to operate under the distinguished Grand Patronage of Prof. Charles Esimone, immediate past Vice-Chancellor. Additionally, outstanding student creators were recognized live, while dedicated conferment plaques for key external partners and representatives who were unavoidably absent have been reserved for an official private presentation visit.

Practical Training Tracks: Hands-on learning roadmaps in software engineering, data analytics, media production, content strategy, and cybersecurity using vetted, open-access curricula alongside partner oversight.
Decentralized Job & Agency Incubator: A structured marketplace connecting freelance student creators, developers, and strategists with external corporate clients, agencies, and regional businesses.
Peer-to-Peer Skill Networks: Collaborative hubs where students across all faculties can form cross-disciplinary teams to execute real projects and build industry-grade portfolios before graduation.

Our media production team is currently finalizing high-definition event coverage, partner presentations, and training syllabus highlights.

Official Social Media Channels: Key event cut-outs, masterclass previews, and candidate registration links will be published across our newly created digital platforms.
Special Delegation Visits: Official visits will be made to present pending conferment awards and strengthen administrative ties with our key stakeholders.
Technical Onboarding: Registered delegates and interested students will receive direct notifications regarding training schedules and cohort assignments for the Soltec and Moniepoint technical tracks.
