tunately, there are still a lot of damaging misconceptions surrounding graded stock. Here are some of the most common myths we’re setting out to bust. Are Graded TVs Second Hand? Any product that has been bought by a customer and returned is defined as second hand. Yet most of the time the TVs that are returned are done so within the customer’s 30-day returns window and haven’t even been turned on. In fact, most TV retailers won’t accept returns if the unit has been used so when it comes to us it’s in perfect condition. Sometimes graded stock comes from displays, meaning that the TVs have been on and working, so are classed as second hand. Rest assured though, as mentioned, Cheap TVs’ experienced team of technology experts thoroughly test all units that are sent to us. Are Graded TVs Faulty? A TV can be classed as being faulty if the packaging has been damaged in transit, which is sometimes why a customer will return an item. This does not mean that the TV itself is damaged. Most of our stock is in pristine condition, but if there is ever any minor damage such as a scratch on the exterior or a slightly cracked frame, we will give full disclosure in the product specifications. Are Graded TVs Old or Outdated? This is, for the most part, completely untrue. As mentioned, graded products often come from surplus stock, so a lot of the time you’re purchasing a brand-new model at a staggeringly cheap price just because the manufacturer made too many. Do Graded TVs Come with a Warranty? A common misconception surrounding graded stock is that the TVs come with no warranty. This is not true at all. If you’re purchasing from a reputable, reliable retailer like us then you’re guaranteed a guarantee! In fact, we offer a 12-month warranty with all our graded stock as standard. Should I be Embarrassed Buying a Graded TV? A common misconception about graded TVs is that they’re embarrassing and uncool. People are ashamed of admitting they bought the latest model at a discounted price and feel as though they would be labelled as ‘cheap’. You can’t tell by looking at a television if it is graded or not, so unless you told everyone (which we think you should be doing!), nobody would even know.
